What’s an intranet for?

In short, an intranet is an internal site or system, designed to be used within an organization or company. That’s why its main feature is that intranets are private.

Intranets are ERPs (enterprise resource planning systems) which help employers and employees to have a much more fluid communication and collaborate in an efficient way, reducing costs as well as increasing safety, in contrast to communications in the public network.
